phpBB Upgrade

Keeping your installation of phpBB up to date is important because it insures your website is not hacked through a known vulnerability in phpBB. If your phpBB installation has already been hacked we can clean it up and then upgrade it. In addition to making sure your website is secure, new minor releases fix bugs. Major releases, i.e.: going from version 2 to 3, add new features. The current versions of phpBB 3.0.11 (check what version you are currently running). If you prefer not to upgrade it yourself, we can do it for you following the proper upgrade procedure. We will also upgrade any out of date MODs that are installed.

If you are currently running phpBB 2.0 you will need to get a new style, as phpBB 2.0 styles are not compatible with phpBB 3.0

Once the upgrade has been completed, we test the website to insure the upgrade has not caused any issues. We can usually upgrade your phpBB installation in a day.

Hosting Requirements for 3.x:

  • PHP version 4.3.3 or greater
  • MySQL version 3.23 or greater, or FireBird 2.0 or greater, MS SQL Server 2000 or greater, or PostgreSQL 7.x or greater, or SQLite 2

Price:

US$100 to upgrade a website running 3.x to 3.0.11 and US$200 to upgrade a website running 2.x to 3.0.11. Payment is due after the upgrade has been completed. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, or eCheck through PayPal in a number of currencies.
