WordPress Blog Setup
Blogging is frequently touted as one of the best ways to promote your business online and blogging is continuing to grow. WordPress makes blogging easy, while also providing a highly customizable solution. There is a wide range of themes available to style your blog and a wide variety of plugins that add functionality to your blog. If you would like blog to match the appearance of the rest of your website, we can design a WordPress theme that matches your website's look. Multiple employees can be given access to post or edit the blog, with the ability to limit the types of actions different employees can make. We take care of the installation and configuration of WordPress, as well as the installation of your selected theme and any plugins you want installed, so that you can get started blogging quickly. If you currently have a blog running on another platform, we can migrate the content from that blog into your WordPress blog if migration from that platform is supported in WordPress. Among the supported platforms are Blogger, LiveJournal, Movable Type, and Tumblr. We can add the blog to an existing website or set it up as a stand-alone website. On an existing website we can place the blog in a subdomain (example: blog.example.com) or a subdirectory (example: www.example.com/blog/). On a new website the blog can also be placed in the root directory (example: www.example.com/). We setup the blog with several plugins to help to optimize the blog for search engines.

- For "pretty permalinks" you need mod_rewrite on the Apache web server, URL Rewrite 1.1+ module and PHP 5 running as FastCGI on Microsoft IIS 7+, ASAPI_Rewrite on Microsoft IIS 6+, a 404 handler or mod_rewrite on Lighttpd
