{"id":2058,"date":"2014-06-09T14:36:26","date_gmt":"2014-06-09T20:36:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whitefirdesign.com\/blog\/?p=2058"},"modified":"2014-06-09T14:36:26","modified_gmt":"2014-06-09T20:36:26","slug":"drupal-websites-not-receiving-security-updates-in-a-timely-manner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whitefirdesign.com\/blog\/2014\/06\/09\/drupal-websites-not-receiving-security-updates-in-a-timely-manner\/","title":{"rendered":"Drupal Websites Not Receiving Security Updates in a Timely Manner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the end of March\u00a0we took a look at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drupal.org\/project\/usage\/drupal\">Drupal&#8217;s usage statistics<\/a>\u00a0and <a title=\"Only One-Third of Drupal 7 Websites Are Up-To-Date\" href=\"http:\/\/www.whitefirdesign.com\/blog\/2014\/03\/27\/only-one-third-of-drupal-7-websites-are-up-to-date\/\">found<\/a> that two months after new versions of Drupal 6 &amp; 7, which included <a href=\"https:\/\/drupal.org\/SA-CORE-2014-001\">security updates<\/a>, were released only 33 percent of Drupal 7 websites were running the latest version and only 19 percent of Drupal 6 websites were running the latest version. That obviously isn&#8217;t what you would like to see if you care about security.<\/p>\n<p>It has now been two months since another set of <a href=\"https:\/\/drupal.org\/SA-CORE-2014-002\">security updates<\/a>, 6.31 and 7.27, have been released.
